Setting Your Device

OK, your account is set-up – now what?

Set your device!

Individual Plan
(see My Devices - Family for instruction on setting up a Family plan)

Click on the “My Devices” tab (Figure A) and then click on the “Add Device” button as shown here.  You will be adding your mobile device to your account so you can begin receive alerts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Add Device screen will now appear (Figure B).  On this screen is where you will:

  • Pick your carrier
  • Enter your phone number
  • Save your entry.  The Save button will not function unless a carrier AND phone number are entered.

 

After you “Save” your device (Figure B) a confirmation screen will appear (Figure C).  The mobile device you added will receive a confirmation code within moments in most cases.

 

 

 

Enter the confirmation code in this box and click ‘Confirm’.

If there are problems receiving a confirmation code OR you do not enter it in this box, click CANCEL and your account will function for several days while we work with you to confirm your account.  Please email any difficulties to: customerservice@textfromabove.com.

 

 

 

Family Plan
(see My Devices - Individual for instruction on setting up an individual plan)

Click on the “My Devices” (Figure D) tab and then click on the “Add Device” button as shown here.  You will be adding your mobile device to your account so you can begin receive alerts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The corresponding screen (Figure E) is where you will:

  • Pick your carrier
  • Enter your phone number
  • Save your entry.  The Save button will not function unless a carrier AND phone number are entered.

 

Once you click “Save”, as shown in Figure E on the previous page, a confirmation code will be sent to your mobile device.  Enter that code on the corresponding screen (Figure F).

Enter the confirmation code in this box and click ‘Confirm’.

Now you can add your family members to your account.  To add a family member click the “Add User” button as seen here (Figure G).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now simply enter the e-mail address of the family member you want to add.  They will receive an e-mail with a username and password allowing them to login and create their own account and set up their own device. 

You can do these steps for each of your family members (up to 3 additional members are allowed).
